Description:
In this digital age, the young generation has adopted the new technologies fairly rapidly. However, educational institutions throughout the world have not kept pace with the students. Part of the reasons is that the teachers themselves—many of which belong to older generation--are ill-prepared in the digital age. What is needed are methods and materials that prepare teachers adopt to new technologies in education. An old report (1999) found that teacher preparation programs are not providing the kind of training and exposures educators need to comfortable integrate technology with education. Not much progress has been achieved since then.
